Manchester Basketball will travel to Switzerland in September to compete in the Landolt Cup, as preparations continue for the 2025-26 season.
The Landolt Cup will feature Swiss powerhouses Fribourg Olympic (22-time Swiss Basketball League champions, FIBA EuroCup), and Geneva Lions (3-time and current Swiss Basketball League champions), SIG Strasbourg (LNB Pro A France), Chemnitz Niners (EuroCup and German BBL) and Hugo Limburg United (BNXT League, Belgium).
“We’re thrilled to add a second European pre-season tournament to our schedule,” said Dominque Allen.
“Manchester Basketball aims to compete with top teams throughout Europe, and the strong roster at the Landolt Cup will be a great test. We thank the organizers for including us in this prestigious event.”
The tournament will take place from Wednesday, 3 September, to Saturday, 6 September, with group-stage matches held midweek and the finals on Saturday.
The six teams are split into two groups with two games per team before progression to the finals. Manchester Basketball will participate in the TISSIERS group, facing off against SIG Strasbourg and Lions de Genève
