Manchester Basketball have signed guard Gina Brierley to the 2026-27 roster.

Gina returns to her hometown as a familiar face, having come through the ranks with Manchester Mystics before embarking on a standout collegiate career at Saint Leo University in Florida, where she developed into a efficient contributor across four seasons.

Gina commented on signing with Manchester “I’m really excited to be back in Manchester and playing for my hometown club, where it all began. After 10 years away, it’s great to be back around familiar faces and have the opportunity to represent the city again. It’s been amazing settling back in with the team. I’m really looking forward to getting started, enjoying the season and seeing what we can achieve together”.

Brierley's senior season in 2019-20 saw her named to the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll, starting 27 of 29 games while scoring 241 points and pulling down 144 rebounds. The 5'8 guard from Manchester, England also enjoyed a standout junior campaign, scoring 272 points across 28 starts, and a career-high 24-point outing against Barry as a sophomore. Before her move to the US, Brierley won the AOC National Championship with Loreto College and was the second-leading scorer in the WEABL, having played club basketball for Manchester Mystics for two seasons — averaging 6.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game in 2015/16.
