Manchester Basketball have announced the return of American Jordan Johnson to the 2026-27 roster.

Fan favourite Johnson had a stellar first season in the North-West and was seen as a key part of the roster that took Matthew Otten’s side to two major finals. Johnson dropped 30 points in the SLB Cup Final, averaging 14.1 ppg domestically and 14.7 ppg in European competition.

Johnson spent his first pro season at Prizreni in Kosovo, after a college career at Hinds CC, Denver and latterly the University of New Orleans. At the Privateers 'Popi' started 27 games in his first season averaging 18pts a game in 33.6 minutes, in his senior year he played 32 games averaging 21.3 pts in 35.8 minutes.

“The opportunity to get Jordan Johnson back for a second year was a no brainer,” reflected Head Coach Matthew Otten.  

“He’s a player that steadily improved throughout the season, and played a pivotal role in helping us win games.  He’s a great teammate and a coachable player, so having continuity and great locker room presence is something to look forward to.”

Johnson becomes the fifth Manchester player to return, alongside Kaiyem Cleary, Kayne Henry, Matthew Nicholson and Duke Shelton, in a new look roster for the new season!
