We can confirm the appointment of both Rheanne Bailey and Rob Fairley to the women’s backroom staff ahead of this weekend’s season opener.
Bailey, who worked for Manchester Giants last season in a similar role, will be familiar with the Manchester faithful having also played for Manchester Mystics who she won the WBBL Cup in 2016/17 alongside Georgia Anderson, Lauren Thomas-Johnson and Dominique Allen.
“I’m super excited to have Rhe and Rob join me on the sidelines!” Said Krumesh.
“They bring such great experiences and knowledge! They been here many years in Manchester and want it to succeed so happy to have the working with us while we build.”
“I have know both many years and am lucky to have good people that will be around the team. Not only are they good at what they do, they have great personalities that will be enjoyed by everyone in the group.”
Bailey had spent the beginning of her professional career at Leicester Riders, who she led to the Division 1 Play off Championship in 2012/13.
Rob Fairley was named WEABL North Conference Coach of the Year in 2022-23 after leading Manchester Mystics back to the playoffs with a 6-3 record in the regular season.
He had success in the national league winning the U16 girls National Cup and playoff title with the Mystics. The Manchester native previously led the Mystics in the inaugural season of the WBBL back in 2014/15 before heading up their academy last summer.
All three will be on the sidelines for Saturday’s big opening fixture against Nottingham Wildcats, 2pm tip. Tickets are on sale for the game here.
