O'Donnell, a versatile forward from Shankill, Ireland, arrives at MCR for the 2026-27 season after a standout senior year at Quinnipiac University, where she earned All-MAAC First Team honours after leading the team in both rebounds and assists.

Ella completed her four-year collegiate career at Quinnipiac, where in her senior year, 2025-26, she averaged 11.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists across 33 games, shooting a team-best 49.5% from the field and recording six double-doubles. An established international, O'Donnell has represented the Irish senior women's national team since making her debut at just 18 years old in 2022, following a decorated youth career across the U16, U18 and U20 European Championships.
