Manchester Basketball have signed Pjay Smith Jr to the 2025-26 roster.
6'0" Point guard Pjay Smith Jnr joins MCR from Furman where he established himself as an elite player for the Paladins.
Smith garnered 2020-21 Freshman of the Year honours in the Gulf South Conference in his first season with Lee University before more accolades starting all 28 games for Lee, averaging 15.8 pts, 5.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists for the Flames.
Pjay would join Furman in 2023 averaging 10 pts in his first season in the All-Southern Conference. His second season would see Smith Jnr nominated for the Lou Henson Award and earned a spot in the first team of the All-Southern Conference, averaging 18 pts, 4.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists for the season. He would rank fourth in the nation from the three-point line - averaging 3.44 three-point baskets per game and sixth with 110 three-pointers on the year.
