The 2025 European North Basketball league technical meeting concluded on Sunday, August 17, at the Tallink Rīga hotel in Latvian capital.
A new ENBL format was officially announced during the technical meeting that sees Manchester Basketball host four games in the initial group phase and travel to four destinations in Europe.
Manchester play in Pool Two will face BK Opava (Czech Republic), Brussels Basketball (Belgium), Sigal Prishtina (Kosovo), Tindastoll (Iceland), Gimle Basket (Norway), Slovan Bratislava (Slovakia), Keila Coolbet (Estonia) and a team from Croatia.
Twenty seven teams, drawn in three pools of nine, will play a round robin tournament with eight games for each team – four at home, four away – from September 23, 2025 until February 11, 2026. Sixteen teams will advance to the 2026 ENBL playoffs. Eight finals feature a single elimination game at a higher seed (1-16, 2-15, 3-14, 4-13, 5-12, 6-11, 7-10, 8-9) on March 4-12, 2026. Quarterfinals offer “best-of-two” home and away series (first pair 1-16 vs 8-9, second pair 2-15 vs 7-10, third pair 3-14 vs 6-11, fourth pair 4-13 vs 5-12) on March 17-April 2, 2026.
The winners advance to the Final Four, to be held on April 21-23, 2026.
