Manchester land Kayne Henry

Manchester Basketball are thrilled to announce the signing of British guard Kayne Henry for his first professional season on home soil.

The Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist has spent most of his career so far in Germany having had a stellar career at Jacksonville State. Kayne played 88 times for Jacksonville State averaging 9.4 pts per game. Last season he averaged 10.6 pts per game in the German ProA league in 19 games for ART Giants Düsseldorf.

"I feel ecstatic to finally be able to play back home," reflected Kayne.

"I can’t wait to get the ball rolling with Manchester and I just know I’ll be repping the city proud next season."

Kayne was a part of Team England's 3X3 team to win the country's first ever gold medal in basketball at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

"We are delighted to be able to bring British talent like Kayne back home to the SLB. His experiences playing in Germany will no doubt help us compete at both ends of the floor," reflected Dominique Allen.

"He's an exciting guard and we know that the Manchester fans are going to love him. It's a statement signing for us of how we intend to do things."
