Manchester Basketball can confirm the departure of Matthew Otten from his position as Head Coach of the Men’s team, with the decision reached by mutual consent. The club would like to place on record its sincere gratitude and appreciation for Matthew’s commitment, professionalism and contribution to Manchester Basketball.

He spearheaded the club’s first-ever European campaign, leading the team to a European final in the European Northern Basketball League, after beating German giants MBC Syntainics in a historic semi-final. This year, Manchester became the first-ever British team to win a Champions League Qualifier, securing victory over German side Würzburg.
Claire Bradbury, CEO of Manchester Basketball said:
“During Matt’s time here, we have shared some important milestones for the club in both domestic and European basketball."
“After careful consideration we have agreed that now is the right time for a change. I would like to thank Matt for his hard work and contribution to the club and wish him every success in the next chapter of his coaching career."
