Manchester Basketball sign Canadian 6’8” forward Gabe Osabuohien to the 2025-26 roster.
Osabuohien spent the last three seasons in the NBA G League with Cleveland Charge, where he earned the Jason Collier Sportsmanship Award in 2024. The same year Gabe represented the Cleveland Cavaliers at the 2024 NBA Summer League before rejoining the Charge. This summer he played in the CEBL with Calgary Surge.
“Gabe is a great addition to our team,” commented Head Coach Matthew Otten. “As a Big 12 co-defensive player of the year, and more recently being a big contributor to winning programs, I’m confident he will contribute to the culture we want to build in Manchester.”
Osabuohien had a stellar college career playing for NCAA powerhouses the University of Arkansas and West Virginia University where he earned Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year honours in 2022. He was also named to the Big 12 All-Defensive Teams in both 2021 and 2022.
“Gabe is an elite player who has experience playing in the NBA G-League and CEBL,”reflected Dominique Allen. “We like what he can do at both ends of the floor. He will prove a great signing for us.”
Gabe is all set to make his debut this week. Manchester are in action twice hosting Estonian side Keila in the first ever European game. Tickets are still available priced at just £6. Then at home on Sunday against Leicester Riders in the SLB, tickets are available here.
Manchester can also confirm the departure of Zay Williams, we wish Zay all the best for the future.
