Manchester Basketball is launched as new era of Super League Basketball begins for the city’s professional franchise.
In an open letter to the Manchester supporters, the club thanked the fanbase for its patience and explained some of the work that has been happening behind the scenes:
“We’re conscious that we’ve been a little quiet lately! We wanted to reach out to update you all on what we’ve been up to behind the scenes.”
“The foundation for a sustainable, successful Manchester basketball franchise is making great progress."
"Our goal is to grow our club over the next few years, to reconnect with our community and the city, and to elevate basketball across the city. We’re talking with key stakeholders in Manchester as we look to build our relationships with the Council, Universities and local & national businesses.”
“You the fans are our most critical partners. With the season less than a month away, you can expect an increase in exciting announcements: coaches, player signings, merchandise, kit launches and more.”
“We will officially begin the season as Manchester Basketball.”
The club are delighted to confirm that the National Basketball Performance Centre at Belle Vue will once again be the home for Manchester's professional franchise.
The men’s team will play their first home game of the season against Newcastle Eagles at the Belle Vue, on Sunday 29 September at 3pm.
Tickets for the historic first game are available now priced at £10 via this link.
