Manchester fall short against Newcastle Eagles as they are defeated 78-88.

Danni Williams impressed for Manchester recording 22 points and 7 rebounds. Anastasia Warren also starred for Manchester recording 15 points and 4 rebounds.

Tierra Hodges was the difference in the game for Newcastle Eagles and recorded 24 points and 9 rebounds.

The first quarter ended with Newcastle Eagles having the upper hand with a 23-14 lead.

Manchester fought hard to keep up with Newcastle Eagles and were able to reduce the deficit in the second quarter. Newcastle Eagles went into halftime with a lead of 39-31.

Newcastle Eagles were able to keep up enough momentum in the third quarter to stay in the lead. The teams headed into the final quarter with Newcastle Eagles leading 65-57.

Despite Manchester’s hard work Newcastle Eagles were able to maintain the lead and take home the win. The game ended 88-78 in Newcastle Eagles’ favour.

Manchester will look to bounce back next week on Saturday November 30 as they take on Caledonia Gladiators at the National Basketball Performance Centre.
