Manchester Basketball men’s team announce guard Cody John to the 2024-25 roster.

The British-Canadian player graduated from Weber State in 2020 before heading to the Kosovo league to play with Ylli Therande where he averaged 17.4 pts a game.

Cody spent the 2022-23 season in Cyprus and also has played for a host of Canadian clubs including three spells with Brampton Honey Badgers, Edmonton Stingers, Ottawa Blackjacks and latterly Saskatchewan Rattlers.

“I can’t wait to get out there in Manchester,” reflected Cody. “This is somewhere where I wanted to be for a really long time.”

“I can’t wait to get out there to the UK and bring a championship back home to Manchester.”

Cody becomes the third Canadian to sign for the Manchester team with Canadian-Brit Nicholas Lewis and CEBL Champion Nathan Cayo already announced.

Cody will suit up for the first time in the Trophy against Caledonia Gladiators in Scotland before returning to home court to face Newcastle Eagles. All normal tickets for the Eagles home opener are priced at £10.
