Manchester Basketball is delighted to announce the appointment of Claire Bradbury as the franchise’s first Chief Executive Officer.
Claire joins new franchise Manchester Basketball at a pivotal moment for the Club, with both the Men’s and Women’s teams competing domestically in Super League Basketball and, for the first time, on the European stage in the Men’s European North Basketball League.
As a proud Northerner, Claire has a strong connection to Manchester and brings more than 20-years of experience in the sports industry. Her career includes leading marketing for global running brands Brooks Sports and ASICS, as well as more recently holding senior board-level positions across both Rugby Union and Rugby League.

An accomplished brand, commercial and cultural leader, Claire’s appointment represents a significant step in the Club’s long-term strategy. She joins a leadership team that includes Head of Media, Peter Simmons and General Manager, Dominique Allen – a former Team GB Olympian and Commonwealth Games silver medallist. Claire will also be working closely with the team coaches, Matt Otten (Men’s) and Oli Parr (Women’s).
Claire’s collaborative leadership style and ability to build high-performance environments is fundamental as the Club looks to build the Manchester Basketball brand and achieve success on and off the court. She brings extensive experience in developing data-driven organisations, growing fan engagement and strengthening connections between sport, business and the wider community.

"Claire joins us at a transformational moment, and I am confident in her ability to help shape what Manchester Basketball becomes," said franchise owner Ben Pierson.
"She brings not only deep industry experience, but a genuine understanding of this city and its sporting culture. With Claire, Dominique, and Pete forming a strong senior leadership team, we’re building something that will last – on the court, in the community, and in the way we run this organisation – and that will drive the long-term success we’re committed to delivering for Manchester."
