Manchester Basketball Fans,

As our inaugural season and playoff journeys come to a close, we want to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you. Your energy, passion, and support lifted both our teams throughout the season — at home, on the road, and through many highs and lows.

Having started this Manchester franchise only weeks before the start of the season, it’s a funny thing to be disappointed with first round playoff exits. That’s how much progress we made over the course of this season. We had two playoff teams in our inaugural season.

Our Women’s team finished in fifth place. Our Men’s team finished in fourth place, its highest finish in twenty-five years. The Men’s team finished its season to a sell-out crowd of over 2,000, by our knowledge the largest ever basketball crowd at Belle Vue. Despite the loss, this game showcased the excitement that basketball can bring to fans of all ages.

We're proud of our players, our staff, our fantastic volunteers and most of all, our fans — the heartbeat of Manchester Basketball.

I would like to thank everyone for their contributions to this past year. I would also like to thank the support we’ve received from our sponsors - Science in Sport, Nuffield Health, Storyhouse Creatives, Hoopin N Lootin, and CultureBox. We welcome additional partnership discussions for next season.

I would also like to highlight the strong support we’ve received from the City Council and MCR Active as well as Manchester College and MMU. Manchester, and the Greater Manchester area, is a fantastic hotbed for sports. We’ve only just started unlocking its potential; working together we can accomplish great things.
